The baiMobile Credential Service for Good Dynamics from Biometric Associates, LP implements the S/MIME related API set from Good Dynamics. This means that any other app utilizing the same Good Dynamics S/MIME API can use the Credential Service app to retrieve and interact with certificates from a credential (typically located on a smart card). Typical use cases would include: • Using the certificates stored on the credential to authenticate the user to a server or network • Using the certificates stored on the credential to digitally sign or decrypt a document or email • Capture the public information stored on the credential to fill in a form, such as medical records One of the main advantages of baiMobile Credential Service for Good Dynamics app is that it is able to provide these services regardless of the credential type, location or method of interaction. Other apps using the baiMobile Credential Service for Good Dynamics app do not need to be upgraded each time a new smart card or smart card reader is supported. The initial version (v1.0) of the baiMobile Credential Service for Good Dynamics app will include support for the CAC and PIV smart card types and the baiMobile 3000MP Bluetooth and baiMobile 301MP/301MP-LT smart card readers as well as the Tactivo sleeve readers from Precise Biometrics. The baiMobile Credential Service for Good Dynamics app is a free download from the Apple App Store, but requires an enterprise license before activation.
